One of the trickiest parts of getting ready for a juice fast is the planning that goes into it. Which recipes will you choose, how many juices will you need per day, and where do you start with compiling your first grocery list?
Allow me to take some of the guess work out of it.
Below is a sample, 3-Day Juicing Plan which includes a preselected menu complete with recipes and a grocery list of all the items you will need. This plan will provide you with a good variety of 6 juices per day, and you can anticipate a total approximate cost of about $100.00-$150.00. (Of course, pricing will vary depending on where you shop and whether you purchase conventional or organic produce, which is what I recommend.)
Each recipe has been modified to yield 3 – 16oz juices of each juice type, which is a serving. (Exact yield may vary.) These juices can be made all at once if bottled and stored properly. (Please see my post, Storing and Transporting Your Juices for more on this).
Depending on how familiar you are with juicing, you’ll want to set aside at least 2-3 hours to make your entire 3-day supply. And of course, if you have any health concerns, always be sure to check with your doctor before making any significant changes to your diet.
