This is one of those recipes I completely forgot I had, but in rediscovering it again this week, I remembered how much I love this juice. The unique mix of flavors is a refreshing twist and the cayenne pepper adds a surprisingly nice kick. Really, any variety of pear will work, but the key is selecting the most ripe pears available. Here’s what else you’ll need:
Pear Ginger Juice
1 thumb sized piece of ginger
1 large lemon
dash of cayenne
Process pears and ginger through a juicer and process citrus with a citrus juicer (or remove peel before processing through regular juicer). Before serving, add a dash (or two) of cayenne pepper.
