Prophetic Word: Holy Fires Are About To Spark

I believe with all my heart that some great and mighty spiritual fires are about to spark. But I believe the place they are going to be lit and catch aflame will be in very small environments. At least, that’s where they’ll originate from and then they’ll spill out from there. Let me just be clear – this is not an anti-large-crowd message. It’s not an either or, it’s an inclusive both-and. But I believe that over the next 90 days specifically, we need to be intentional about positioning ourselves in small, upper-room type, intimate environments where we can cultivate the spiritual atmosphere and community that will attract this holy fire.

As you continue to seek the Lord on this and consider how it should specifically play out amongst you and your community(ies), there are two things I want to share that I believe will be necessary to prioritize: unity and purity. As you/we gather, it’s important for us to prioritize creating a safe atmosphere where unity and purity can take place.

CommUNITY: Read and meditate upon Psalm 133 as well as Acts 1 and 2.  Where there is unity, God commands the blessing. There will be a greater sense of unity released. And this unity will be marked by true expressions of love. The Holy Spirit is about to work amongst us and really show us what love looks like in action. There will be greater unity in families. Unity in marriages – there will be a greater sense of “oneness” in marriages taking place. Unity with and amongst other believers. Communities of believers are going to go to the next level as we give ourselves to loving one another in a greater way.

“For when you demonstrate the same love I have for you by loving one another, everyone will know that you’re my true followers.” John 13:35 TPT

PURITY Secondly, I believe these “fires” will be accompanied by an increased level of healings and miracles. But some of the ailments many are experiencing are due to hidden issues in the soul. Toxic thoughts, unhealed hurts, bitterness, (lots and lots of bitterness that absolutely must be dealt with), rampant emotions, unforgiveness, wounds that have not been dealt, and secret areas of compromise.

God will deal with whatever is ailing us. The nature of fire is to burn the dross away. He wants to heal and release freedom. Additionally, He wants us to walk in a greater anointing of power and authority so that we may give freely to others as has been freely given to us. But here’s the key: He will only deal with those things truthfully. This is where the need for purity comes in. God will not give us the wrong remedy for something when we’re trying to hide or avoid the real issue(s) beneath the surface. If we desire to see healings in our midst, if we want to truly experience and operate in the supernatural ways of God, if we want to exercise the power of the Holy Spirit and walk in His authority, we must be wholly committed to truth. There must be a fresh commitment to purity and holiness. It starts with being truthful. 

Behold, You desire truth in the inner being; make me therefore to know wisdom in my inmost heart. Psalm 51:6 AMPC 

Obviously, prayer and worship will be key in these environments. As the atmosphere is filled with the “aroma of worship in spirit and truth” this is going to contribute to the safety that needs to be experienced so that people can be truthful without hostility.

Leaders: teach your people how to discern between what is evil and what is good. Teach your people to discern between what is holy and what is profane, between what is clean and unclean (Ezekiel 44:23). This is one of the most basic requirements of shepherds.
