This is probably one of the most common type of dreams I interpret for people. Recalling again that dreams are highly symbolic, we have to consider what a bathroom would be used to symbolize, and that’s cleansing (spiritually speaking).
In our waking hours, bathrooms are usually private places of cleansing. We go in there to refresh ourselves. We shower to wash away toxins or dirt that we may have picked up on the outside of our bodies. And of course (sorry to be so graphic, but this will also happen in dreams) we use the toilet to dispose of waste that has built up on the inside and “flush it out”.
So in dreams, seeing ourselves in a bathroom indicates that were are going through a season or arriving at a place where the process of cleansing will need to have it’s work. And usually, this is because we are being prepared for something new ahead.
Additionally, you can look around in the dream and you may be given more details as to what this process of cleansing will involve for you. Is the bathroom large or small? Is it beautiful and ornate, or is it grungy or not very attractive? Are you alone, or are you using the bathroom out in the open with other people watching? The appearance of the bathroom may speak to the level of comfort (or discomfort) you will experience with the process. The presence of other people may point to having to walk this cleansing process out with others witnessing it.
Lastly, remember water and wind are common symbols of the presence of the Holy Spirit. It’s not uncommon for me to see both of these in bathroom dreams. This should comfort us in recognizing that God Himself is helping us walk through this process and He will see it to completion. The most appropriate response to bathroom/cleansing dreams is, “Have Your way, Lord.”
Thank you this was so helpful. I haves been having these dreams about bathrooms for years and no one could tell me why.

hello, I have a question regarding dream I had for a couple of times. Now in the dream I walked into the bathroom In my house normally but the two mirrors that were on the wall were missing or not there and I was wondering in my dream what happened to the mirrors?
I would so be grateful if you could interpret that dream. I could not find anything regarding missing mirrors meaning that are normally there in the bathroom In real life.
