Seraphim in Dreams

𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 of fire. A bolt of 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 that is hard to follow or track. Fire that 𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 almost 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝘆 to even detect. Sometimes 𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, but more often 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲 in color (the hottest, purest color of fire).

These are all different ways I’ve heard people describe 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 or 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 they see or detect in their dreams but don’t have words for. It’s often the visible manifestation of 𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Seraphim are angelic beings best described in Isaiah 6:2: “Above it stood 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗺; each one had six wings; with two he covered his 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲, with two he covered his 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁, and with two he 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘄.”

The word seraphim literally means “𝙗𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨”. It describes a 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, angelic being.

The normal abode for seraphim is around the throne of God, worshipping. Though glorious, they don’t make a show of themselves, covering their 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 (out of respect for the glory of God), they cover their 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁 in His presence (out of modesty), and they 𝗳𝗹𝘆 (equipped for instant obedience).

In scripture we find they also interact with mankind, carrying out specific 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 from God. We see this again in Isaiah 6:6, “Then one of the 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And 𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘁…”

When they appear in dreams, we instinctively know there’s something significant about that 𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 – but we often don’t realize what it is.

Now, I’m not saying that 𝗮𝗹𝗹 flashes of fire in dreams are seraphim. But it very well may be that you are being given the ability to recognize their presence and activity – not to get hyper focused on the presence of the angels themselves, but more importantly to recognize that God is at work in your midst.
