For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction. In order to turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man, He keeps back his soul from the Pit, and his life from perishing by the sword. Job 33:14-18 NKJV

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a dreamer. There are dreams that I had as a little girl that I still carry with me to this day. Dreams that over 30 years later, I can remember as vividly as the night I dreamt them. Dreams I’d wake up from in the middle of the night knowing they had to have a greater meaning, though I didn’t know exactly what that meaning was. It was this undercurrent of curiosity that finally drove me to seek out the origin, the meaning, and ultimately, the interpretation of our dreams.

What happens at night when we sleep? Why do we wake up with such a sense of urgency to find the meaning of some dreams, while others seem to disappear from our memory, like vanishing ink, only moments after we open our eyes? Do dreams really have a significant meaning? Does God use dreams to communicate with us today? What do all the various colors, symbols, numbers, and pictures mean? How about the dreams that keep coming back, time and time again?

In the few years I’ve been studying biblical dream interpretation, I’ve learned a lot, and I’ve committed myself to an ongoing journey of learning. But what I’ve discovered so far has changed my life. And because of what I’ve come to know as true – that God really does want to communicate with us in our dreams – it has become a passion of mine, not only to help people interpret what God is saying, but to help teach the language of dream interpretation to others, so that we can all do this for ourselves, and teach our children and the generations to come to do the same.

Wherever you are in this journey, I pray that above all, a greater hunger will awaken within your heart to become more aware of your dreams, to value and capture them, and to pursue God for the answers and the meaning. He is a good Father who is very active and involved in every detail of our lives. He knows where we’re at and where we’re going, and He desperately wants to communicate His heart to us, making Himself known and speaking to us through dreams and visions.

Every dream is an invitation to a intimate conversation, where we get to tune in to what heaven is saying, and if we will simply respond, our lives will forever be changed.

And He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord will make Myself known to him in a vision and I will speak to him in a dream.  Numbers 12:6 AMP
