Every now and then, I receive dreams involving an office space. Sometimes, it’s one I’m familiar with. It may not be exactly the same as the one where I work, but it’s familiar. Other times, the office I see in the dream looks completely foreign.
If in the dream the office you see is where you actually work, then the dream is most likely speaking to something that involves your actual place of business or employment.
However, if the office you see in the dream is one that you are not familiar with in the natural realm, it’s most likely meant to represent the day to day work involved with the position you are called to hold in the body of Christ.
Consider especially what are often referred to as the 5-fold “office gifts” that are found in Ephesians 4:11,
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
Dreams don’t speak of only those that are specifically appointed to those unique offices. Just like the natural, a doctor is not the only one who works in his/her office. There are several other people that are crucial to the work and are involved in the work that support or uphold the primary function. It’s the same in the spiritual realm.
If you’re moving into a new office, this may mean that the function of your assignment is about to change.
If you’re office is getting an upgrade or you’re moving into a larger office, then this may indicate spiritual promotion.
What are some of the conditions of the office space you’re seeing in the dream? What kind of work is it conducive to? What stands out to you about it? Is it secluded or is it out in the open, easily viewable through glass windows? Is it a shared space with multiple work stations, or private? This will tell you more about the nature of how you’re going to do the work you’ve been given to do.
