Pools are usually a picture of a smaller segment of a spiritual community.
If you think about where pools are usually located, they’re in a backyard or in a shared common space where a limited group of people can enjoy. So this makes the community a bit more personal.
To be standing on the deck of the pool means you’re about to enter it, or you will soon be given the opportunity to be a part of it. It could also mean you’ve arrived at this community but are “standing on the sidelines” and not participating. It’s time to jump in and get wet!
