Wolves in Dreams

Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain.

Ezekiel 22:27 NIV

Throughout scripture, wolves are used to depict character traits of people who are fierce, violent, cruel and destructive. Jesus also chose to use “ravenous wolves” as a symbol of what false prophets are like (Matthew 7:15).

At first glance, wolves can often be mistaken for dogs. They can appear as something harmless, friendly even. But in fact, they are predatory animals that work in packs and seek to tear their victims apart. Their strategy is to search out the wounded, try to isolate them, and then attack. They pick on the weak, not the strong. Even though at first they may appear alone, their strength is in numbers.

To see a wolf in a dream is to see these character traits present. The dream is most likely serving as a warning that something or someone is operating with this type of spirit.
