Not All Miracles are From God

Earlier this week I was meditating on how Pharaoh’s 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗻 (those who knew the occultic arts), 𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 (those who muttered magic formulas and incantations), and 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 (the bearers & practicians of magic books) temporarily 𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 some of the wonders God commanded through Aaron and Moses. ⁣

When God sent Moses to lead His people out of Egypt, He 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 and 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 (as He has promised to in these last days). Yet for a little while, Pharaoh’s crew was able to do some of the 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 works (see Ex 7 and 8). ⁣

It’s going to be the same in our age. Just as supernatural activity from heaven continues to increase, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲. Did you know that? And make no mistake, just as he 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 some of the same works that Aaron & Moses did, it 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 happen again. ⁣

The revealing of the lawless one will be 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 all 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿, 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀, and 𝗟𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 according to 2 Thess 2. (Deception is the secret power of lawlessness.)⁣

If the desire is simply to see the miracles, signs, wonders, mighty acts, power manifested, we set ourselves up to be greatly 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱. And if we account these things as 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 of the work of God, we will be deceived. 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 “𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲” 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗼𝗱. Just as He energizes the gifts & works of the Spirit, so the realm of darkness can empower its vessels to produce 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 but 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 signs & 𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 wonders. ⁣

Spiritual gifts, power & authority given to us is not for a 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗳𝗳 or 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄-𝗼𝗳𝗳. It’s not to 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 people with. Jesus refused to perform works or miracles when people who had this attitude asked of Him. ⁣

While I believe (and obediently operate in) the gifts, power & authority granted to me of God, these only serve the greater responsibility of stewarding the grace and love of God. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘆 know 𝗛𝗶𝗺 & 𝗯𝗲 reconciled 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗶𝗺. That’s the goal & should be what any manifestation points to.
