2017: A Year of Recompense Part 4

Hello friends, I hope your 2017 has kicked off to a strong start so far. Today, I’d like to continue in this series about what I feel God saying for 2017. As I mentioned previously, in a nutshell, I sense that this is going to be a year of recompense for His people in three key areas. Again, if you’ve not read the previous posts, please please do so because these all tie in together very closely. I’ve already shared what the first two of those three areas is, and today, I’d like to dive into the third.3.) This year will be a year of recompense and/or settlement to those who have given in His name.

This third area is a little bit of a tricky one to explain, so I hope you’ll hear me with ears to hear. First, let me start with the Scriptures God laid on my heart as I was tuning in to hear this word. Hear what these are saying and what I share will make more sense.

He who is gracious and lends a hand to the poor lends to the Lord, and the Lord will repay him for his good deed.” Proverbs 19:17 AMP

When the Lord your God blesses you as He has promised you, then you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow;…” Deuteronomy 15:6a AMP

Woe to you, [self-righteous] scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you give a tenth (tithe) of your mint and dill and cumin [focusing on minor matters], and have neglected the weightier [more important moral and spiritual] provisions of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the [primary] things you ought to have done without neglecting the others.” Matthew 23:23 AMP

This word is targeted at those who have operated with a heart of generosity. This is not at all about specific amounts given. These are they who have given – not just the minimum they felt was required (as it says in Matthew). Not just the tithe – but those who have stewarded what they have with a heart of justice, mercy and faithfulness.

God has kept count and He is about to recompense these beautiful souls. NOT because their heart was to give, hoping they’d get something back in return. But God is about to recompense, yes, repay (as it says above in Proverbs) these souls because He has found them trustworthy, having calmed and quieted their own desires and appetites so that they could respond properly when prompted. And in His righteous justice, He has found them worthy of even more.

Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
Like a weaned child with his mother;
Like a weaned child is my soul within me.” Psalm 131:2 NKJV

Enlarge your dwelling places. Enlarge your tents, dear ones. For the Lord is about to give you more. Keep to the way you think…you are always thinking of how to stretch, how to multiply, how to do more with what you have. God is going to give you supernatural wisdom and understanding. He will breath on you and enlighten your mind and heart with greater revelation, and creativity to continue multiplying. Do not cast off this way of thinking once He blesses you with more.

He is also going to bring new people to you. Yes, new types of people. You will have to learn…you will have to grow to learn how to serve them. But He will lead you. He will teach you in the way you should go.

Enlarge your table.

Know that part of multiplying what you have is to teach others to do what you do (and to impart the heart that motivates it).

Next, know who to wean off. I say this carefully, but continue being faithful with what you are doing, but know that as God brings new people to you, you may also need to “cut off” others. Others who have perhaps begun associating with you too closely; others who have become slack and comfortable with your generosity. Others who in love, need to learn how to stand on their own two feet. This is not mean or cruel….this is pruning for more growth.

Lastly, this will be a time for you to re-look at where you have your “investments” stored. This could have to do with actual investment accounts, or bank accounts, but I don’t feel like we are to limit it to that. Think about this more broadly. Consider where you do business. What are your common go-to places. Because Part of God bringing you into the new and expanding you will also involve what He begins exposing you to. Remember: There are two harvesting seasons in a year.

I’ve been waiting for a long time to share this one and it gives me great joy and excitement to do so. Well done, good and faithful servant(s). Continue expanding and multiplying. May God richly bless your fields and may He bring those in your path who will help you succeed in all He has called you to.

Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask or imagine…according to the power that works in us, to Him be all the glory forever and ever and ever.

In His Loving Grip,

Linda G. Riddle
